Dr. Janech is a graduate of Oakland University (MI), College of Charleston (SC), and the Medical University of South Carolina (SC). He is interested in everything SCIENCE and enjoys making observations of the natural world. His scientific interests include: proteomics, mass spectrometry, kidney disease, marine mammal health/biology, microbiology applications, and ozone nanobubble technology. His research laboratory is located in the Hollings Marine Laboratory on the Fort Johnson Marine Campus that also includes the College of Charleston Grice Marine Laboratory. He is faculty in the Graduate Program in Marine Biology.

Alison Bland, M.S

Alison Bland is a graduate of the College of Charleston (SC) and received her masters from Lehigh University (PA). She was the senior technician in the Nephrology Proteomics Laboratory at the Medical University of South Carolina before joining the Janech lab at the College of Charleston. Alison has years of experience in mass spectrometry, sample coordination, sample preparation, and laboratory management. Alison is the primary scientist involved in collecting Vibrio data for the Grice Marine Lab Vibrio Project. Alison is located at the Hollings Marine Laboratory.
